Fusion Fund invests in disruptive startups that have fundamental technology or data barriers in their business models. We invest across healthcare & med-tech, industrial automation, and enterprise software. Some of our companies include Mojo Vision, Mission Bio, Otter.ai, Accern, and Locomation.

The members of the investment team at Fusion Fund all have extensive technical, operation and start-up experience. We are former operators and founders striving to be the VCs whom we hoped we had encountered during our own journeys, and are eager to share our learnings and experiences for the next generation of technical investors and founders.

What is Fusion Fund Fellowship Program?

The Fusion Fund VC Fellowship is dedicated to working professionals working in technical roles and post-graduates/PhDs in technical domains who are motivated and passionate about exploring a potential career in Venture Capital and getting additional exposure to the technical start-up ecosystem. Our fellowship is a 4-month long apprenticeship where fellows will work directly with our investment team members to learn and explore every facet of work in the VC world. We have a strong preference for candidates who are able to demonstrate an existing entrepreneurial/expert network and have high intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities Include

  • In depth look at the VC investment process

  • Training in deal sourcing, due diligence, modelling, and portfolio management

  • Guidance in developing your own investment theses and conducting in-depth, sector-specific research

  • Opportunity to participate in meetings with founders and the investment committee

  • Exclusive talks and networking events (online and in-person)

The program begins the week of June 6th, 2022, and the expected time commitment is at least ~5-10 hours per week put towards the curriculum, assignments, and investment related tasks. While the core program is remote, we may host in-person events for Fellows based in the Bay Area safety permitting.
