Fusion fellowship Ambassador Program

Congratulations to our new ambassadors!

October 2025

For the past four years, Fusion Fund has organized a 12-week VC fellowship program with the goal of demystifying the opaque industry of venture capital. Each year, we have been fortunate to teach a diverse and talented group of fellows with broad expertise across technical, scientific, and quantitative fields. Starting this year, we are also launching our Fusion Fellowship Ambassador program, designed to engage a select group of fellows more deeply with our operations including screening, sourcing, and due diligence of investment opportunities.

We’re excited to announce four Ambassadors from our prior fellowships:

Ethan Yang

Ethan Yang (2023 cohort): Dr. Ethan Yang is a physician-scientist and operator-investor focused on interventional medtech and healthcare AI. He holds BS/MS degrees in Bioengineering from Stanford and an MD/PhD (UM MSTP), and trained in vascular surgery before serving as Chief Medical Officer at Micromedical Technologies, where he led aneurysm flow-modulation and percutaneous carotid revascularization programs. He later founded Nanovascular Technologies to advance heart-failure monitoring. As an investor, he has backed multiple medtech companies with realized 3–5× returns, supporting founders on FDA strategy, clinical validation, and provider/payer adoption. Current interests include clinical-grade AI patient CDS and management, evidence-linked clinical-AI data and provenance, multi-agent care-navigation automation, and minimally invasive devices and therapeutics.

Jason Lin

Jason Lin (2024 cohort): Jason holds degrees from Stanford (Statistics/NLP), Georgia Tech (MS Computer Science), and USC (BS Computer Science/Business Administration), and currently works as a Research Scientist at Google Research focusing on multimodal LLMs. He previously served as a Research Engineer at DeepMind developing state-of-the-art video-audio language models, and as a Machine Learning Engineer at Lyft's self-driving perception team. His research spans multimodal foundation models, AI safety and red-teaming, and computer vision, with publications at major ML conferences and recognition including Stanford Existential Risk Fellowship and multiple hackathon wins.

Tristan Yeung

Tristan Yeung (2024 cohort): Tristan holds a BS in Bioengineering from Stanford (2018) and an MD from Harvard Medical School (2023), and currently serves as a resident physician in Internal Medicine at Sutter Health's California Pacific Medical Center. His research spans cancer imaging and therapeutics at Stanford's Canary Center, interventional radiology and COVID-19 imaging studies at Massachusetts General Hospital, and retinal detachment outcomes at Mass Eye and Ear, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications. He led a Stanford BioDesign team developing an implantable thiamine-eluting device for post-bariatric patients and is transitioning from clinical practice toward biotech venture capital and entrepreneurship.

Gomathy Krishnan (2025 cohort): Gomathy holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Portland State University (2018) and an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from USC (2023), with a research fellowship at Stanford. She currently serves as a Deep Learning Engineer at Nvidia and Senior Applied NLP Research Engineer at Arcee AI, focusing on domain adaptation systems and model merging pipelines for specialized language models. Her experience spans embedded systems engineering at Analog Devices, ADAS development at Daimler Trucks, research fellowships at Stanford AI Lab and with Jane Street's quantitative trading team, with expertise in deep learning, autonomous driving, and high-performance computing.

The Ambassador program builds on the learnings of the Fellowship, adding live deal experience and hands-on exposure to fund operations. We are excited to help the Ambassadors continue developing their investment expertise in a way that reflects the original spirit of the Fellowship: to learn by doing.

Please join us in congratulating the 2025 Fusion Fellowship Ambassadors!
