About Fusion Fund

Fusion Fund invests in early-stage startups that bring foundational technology to large markets. We invest across three broad categories: Enterprise AI, Healthcare, and Industrial Automation. Our portfolio includes Grubmarket, Otter.ai, You.com, Vectara, Lepton AI, Voyage AI, Mission Bio, Element Biosciences and Proscia.

Everyone on the investment team has extensive technical and operational background, and most of us have startup experience. We are eager to share our learnings with the next generation of founders and investors!

What is the Fusion Fund Venture Fellowship?

The fellowship is designed for both career technologists and students pursuing advanced science, engineering, and medical degrees. The main focus will be a series of weekly presentations covering the many aspects of venture investing with access to our team to learn about the process. We seek candidates with an entrepreneurial streak, a high-value network to draw on for advice, and high intellectual curiosity.

Program Overview

  • In-depth look at the venture investing process

  • Training in deal sourcing, due diligence, deal negotiation, and portfolio management

  • Guidance on developing investment theses and conducting in-depth, sector-specific research

  • Exclusive talks and networking events (online and in-person)

The program will begin in mid-June, and the expected time commitment is roughly five hours per week between curriculum and assignments. While the program is remote, we will also host in-person events for Fellows based in the Bay Area.
